Current open positions:
Energy & Rehab Coordinator to be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and oversight of the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) and related energy conservation and rehab programs. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations and provides support to staff, contractors, and clients to ensure successful program delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with all staff to maintain compliance with program regulations.
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of Weatherization, Furnace/Cooling, and energy/rehab programs.
- Maintain program records, reports, inventory, and client files in compliance with DOE, state, and agency requirements.
- Prepare and submit required reports to funding sources and agency management.
- Participate in audits, monitoring visits, and training as required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures, and training.
- Recognize staff training needs and assist in training Energy and Rehab staff.
- Participate in program budgeting and monitor budget activity, including tracking average cost per unit (ACPU), to ensure compliance with funding requirements and production goals.
- Monitor and assess the programs through quality control inspections, desk inspections, household input, and staff evaluations.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, staff, contractors, and state program representatives.
- Conduct job site inspections to ensure timely completion and quality of work.
- Ensure compliance with program health, safety, and energy efficiency standards.
- Maintain department as a lead safe certified firm and maintain individual lead renovator certification.
- Maintain good household-agency relations, act professionally and positively represent the agency.
- Assist with community outreach and promotion of the energy and rehab programs.
- Take the initiative to identify problems, use judgment to find appropriate solutions and follow through on resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Implement new programs to ensure agency continuity and potential expansion of services within low-income communities.
- Implement changes to program services based on updated federal/state regulations, agency policies, or community needs.
- Adhere to the Community Action Code of Ethics and confidentiality policy.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY: Supervises the Housing Department with approximately 10 staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two-Year Degree in Construction Management or related field or equivalent experience.
- Technical experience in the areas of construction, electricity, carpentry, heating, ventilation and/or air conditioning.
- Knowledge of DOE Weatherization Assistance Program or similar federal/state energy programs preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and program regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and client database systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Hardworking, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Valid driver license.
Certifications (may be required or obtained after hire):
- Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification(s) – Energy Auditor, Quality Control Inspector, etc.
- Lead Safe Renovator training.

Caregiver - seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide quality care for infants and toddlers in our Jamestown Early Head Start program. The Early Head Start Caregiver will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of young children.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide nurturing and responsive care to infants and toddlers in a group setting.

Office Assistant will be responsible for providing office administration and data collection for the Valley City 0-5 Head Start center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance as needed to staff, clients, and other community members.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, opening mail, data entry, and filing.
- Be familiar with developmentally appropriate practices for children ages 0 to 5.
- Facilitate the process for incoming and outgoing mail as directed by the Site Supervisor.
- Prepare, edit, photocopy and distribute the What’s Happening newsletter.
- Process requests and input applications as requested by the Family Service Specialist.
- Administer medication to children in accordance with medication administration policy and procedure.
- Enter data into systems as requested.
- Assess sick children, call parents and arrange for transportation home when needed.
- Complete CACFP and attendance records for the center and route to Administrative Assistant.
- Tabulation of in-kind. Route to fiscal when complete.
- Requisition and order office supplies; assist with the inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Assist with height, weight and vision screening; maintain documentation on health-related follow-up.
- Complete end of the year child health summaries.
- Conduct head lice screenings as needed.
